I have a Dell Dimension E310. Had to re-install Windows XP on it. I have no sound, sound card is integrated into the MOBO, and I cannot find those drivers. What type of sound card can install on this machine ?
Help! anyone..

okay go on dells site here:

and click 'drivers and downloads'

then select your model from the page (or alternatively, type in your service tag, it will be either a black sticker on the pcs case, or it will be in the BIOS - this is a better method especially if you ordered your dell custom built)

I had to do the same for my E510. It uses a nonstandard intel hi-def audio driver but after i looked at dells site like I explained above, i found it in no time.

Press the Windows key+Pause key.
In the window that appears, select Device Manager.
Click the Arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers.
Your sound card is in the list that appears.
